We plan a lot of travel to Europe. We can do a little or a lot whatever you prefer, but one thing we KNOW - planning a meaningful Europe trip is a LOT of work. Don't go it alone. There are so many different ways to explore Europe from budget to luxury. For more independent natured travel one of the best ways to get around for our clients is by train. Slow, medium or fast. Europe's train network is expansive. Lodgings along the way vary from the inexpensive to ultra luxury resorts and everything in between. Take advantage of many organized tour opportunities or explore on your own, or BEST, combine the two. On many rail tour options you can travel independently but partake in destination tours. If you wish to travel as a group many options are also available. Over the years we've gravitated to using rail booking services due to their good value and expertise. Personally, we think many people try to squeeze way to much into European trips in too short a time. In their haste to "see" everything they end up "experiencing" too little. If you're the squeezy type we recommend a River or Ocean Cruise combined with some land time because you can see AND experience a lot of highlights in relative comfort in a shorter time frame. Most of Europe's grand cities are epic and you could easily enjoy them for weeks without getting bored. Even the smaller cities and towns have so much to offer. If the whole point of visiting Europe is to embrace some cultural magic then take your time and explore a small region. Give yourself time to wander. But on the flip side remember high speed train travel can quickly combine some epic destinations into one trip. For example a high speed ticket on the Eurostar can combine Paris and London or Amsterdam and London with a travel time of only 2-3 hours. The travel times on this high speed train are so short you don't waste time on travel days and the stations land you right in the heart of the cities. Traveling to multiple countries or even simpler itineraries can be logistically complex and exhausting to plan on your own, even for experienced travelers (trust us we know). If you want help planning reach out to us and let us take the stress out of it and help you plan your best trip.

Yes, river and ocean cruises are outstanding ways to explore Europe and there are MANY options to choose from. You can also combine those travel options with other options such as train travel or spending quality time in embarkation/disembarkation ports.
Are you interested in a trekking adventure? Want to go on a walkabout? Do you crave authenticity and want to use those feet (yes they could pedal as well) to experience roads less traveled. We can help with that.
